Meet Dr. Lori Weiss
Dr. Weiss, as a general pediatrician at Primary Care Associates since 2002, sees children from birth until 19 years of age. She believes that as your child’s physician, she should act as an advisor and advocate for your child’s physical and emotional development. The most gratifying aspect of pediatrics for her is to watch young infants and toddlers grow and mature throughout their childhood and adolescence. She is an experienced pediatrician who has been practicing in the Western Suburbs since 1989. Dr. Weiss’ Pediatric Residency and Chief Residency training was at the former Children’s Memorial Hospital, now Lurie Children’s Hospital in Chicago, IL.
Vaccine Philosophy: I believe that all children should receive the recommended vaccines according to the guidelines provided by the AAP and the CDC. Vaccines are safe and effective in preventing diseases and health complications in children and young adults. Regular vaccinations help children ward off infections, and are administered as one of the safest and best methods of disease prevention.
I am happy to discuss your concerns about vaccines at your child's next visit. All children in our practice have received recommended immunizations. If your choice is not to immunize your child, please choose a different medical provider for your pediatric and adolescent care.
Dr. Weiss leads an active life outside of medicine. She is married to Dr. Brad Wainer and they have three wonderful adult children- Jessica, Zachary, and Carolyn. Her hobbies include playing guitar and mandolin, excercise (yoga, hiking, scuba diving,) gardening, and travel.
