Acetominophen
Medications and Dosages to Reduce Pain and Fever
1. Dose these medications based on your child’s weight. If you don’t know your child’s weight, give the dose based on your child’s age. Do not give more medication than is recommended.
2. Always use a proper measuring device such as a medication syringe or the device enclosed in the package. DO NOT use a kitchen spoon to measure these medications.
3. Ask your physician if you are unsure of the proper dose. These charts are based on the low end of the dosing range in order to prevent an overdose. Your physician may recommend higher dosages based on your child’s exact weight.
